16U-18U Programs - college recruiting pathway
Overview
Our 16U-18U programs are full year commitments focused on preparing high school age athletes with the knowledge, skills, and exposure necessary to play in college and beyond.
We believe that high school sports are important and show a sense of community. All 16U-18U programs are built to allow for participation in your local high school programs.
Program Details
All 16U-18U programs include the following.
- 4 Virtual College Recruiting Sessions
- 2 Annual Metrics Combines run by current D1 coaching and Kaboom Staff
- Individual Recruiting Video assistance from current D1 coaches
- 10 Showcase Tournaments (4 Fall / 6 Spring & Summer)
- 12 Weeks Indoor Training (4 in October / 8 in January & February)
- Weekly Outdoor Practices (Sep, June, July)
- Paid trainers to assist the coaching staff and provide supplemental training
- Access to D1 Virtual Training Vault
College Recruiting pathway
Virtual Recruiting Sessions
Our virtual recruiting sessions will be hosted by Kaboom and include a panel of current college coaches and committed players that will help guide future collegiate athletes through the process. This includes how to build a recruiting profile, communicate with coaches, and how to get exposure to colleges and universities.
Metrics Combines
Verified athletic metrics are essential for college softball recruiting because they provide college coaches with objective, standardized measurements to evaluate talent before seeing a player in person. Metrics are a key piece of a recruiting profile and provide a baseline for improvement as our players move forward in their recruiting journey. These sessions will be held twice a year under the guidance of current D1 coaches and Kaboom staff.

Recruiting Video Assistance
College programs rely heavily on video and highlights before committing the time and resources to come see a player in person. Kaboom athletes will have full access to video from our combines as well as feedback from current D1 coaches to help create impactful and exciting highlight videos to share along with their recruiting profiles.
